I would like to update the standard rubber hoses for Goodridge items on my non ABS BCR. Has anyone fitted them and if so, was there much of an improvement over the standard items ?

Additionally, I get a fair amount of brake 'squeal' even after changing the pads recently, any ideas or normal ?

Hello mate ... I have a set of HEL lines to fit to mine so I will let you know. Have only got round to fitting the rear so far with new pads (I seem to kill rear pads commuting in town!) ...
I have gone for the twin line set up on the front direct to the master cylinder - will get ride of all the gubbins. Just need a bit of time to fit them!
Anyway - I'm just down the road from you in Teddington ... interestingly enough there is a HEL brake line manufacturer in Tadworth (not too far from you) - I got my set for £60 cash (picked up) inc. banjo bolts, washers, etc.
HEL sounds good, will be interested on how you get along with the fronts and the setup you mention.
I use my BCR mostly for commuting too and like you get through rear pads very quickly. I did a track day at Brands a couple of weeks ago and had to teach myself not to use the rear brake.
