adjusting main beam...

I just rode the bike in the dark for the first time in a few months, since adjusting the passenger/solo adjustment 'knob' the dip is better (in a 1975 6 volt kind of way) but the main beam now seems to be good for inspecting trees.

Can I adjust the main beam while leaving the dip where it is?

I will save up for some better lights, but that won't be until the autumn...

From the book: lateral adjustment - left screw; vertical adjustment - right screw. Turn anti-clockwise for longer throw.
Adjust with rider on machine, while on a level surface.
Only able to adjust entire lamp unit, not individual bulbs.

Guess I'll have to get used to looking at the trees...

Check the bulbs are seated properly.

They are seated correctly, there's a large 'hole' in the centre of the dip beam, and to compensate I have adjusted the headlamp unit higher than I ought to - that said I haven't had any oncoming drivers flash me in complaint...

Think mines the same,(Hole in centre), upgraded the bulbs last year and it is better, but no cigar.
Gonna have to go HID at some point me thinks.
