BCR or Mamola Decals - Sizes?

Post by Red Fokker »

There have been plenty of posts in the past about about buying fibre glass belly pans from ebay and I amongst many others have got one. Damn fine it looks too, especially since a mate got it sprayed up for me. There have also been posts about where to get decals made up but nobody seems to have listed the actual size of the things. I don't fancy creeping around a dealers showroom with a concealed tape measure, so I just wondered if any of you fine trixsters would care to measure the various stickers on their bike. I'm aware that the stickers on the Mamola and BCR differ so woiuld appreciate it if you could specify your bike on posting. I'm sure lots of others would find this info useful.

I'll see how pics of my spare bellypan look and see what's the best way of dimensioning.

I found this thread on pelican which should help for the RM version

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/showthread.php?t=319204

Scroll down to the bottom of the first page past the pictures. I worked out that the sizes were approx:

BMW Motorrad - 485 x 40mm
Metzeler - 235 x 20mm including the elephant logo
Castrol - 150 x 75mm
Laser - 150 x 75mm
CFP - 160 x 25mm

I also ordered the www,bmw-motorrad.de/boxercup stickers for the tank. I didn't have anything but the photo to go on for these and ordered them at 550mm long. I didn't bother with the Randy Mamola signature ones

I ordered the set of stickers http://www.bikedecals.co.uk/ - cost was £51 incl postage. Haven't got them yet but will let you know what they're like. If there product is as good as they're communication over the quote and order then they'll be very good. :D

Thats brilliant lads. Thankyou. Let us know how you get on Skiddy, I can feel a duplicate order coming on, but may have the 'Laser' sticker replaced with a 'Staintune'. Blackal - is yours a Boxercup?

Not all things vinyl. Just BCR bellypan stickers.

Sure! If you like, I will give you a Boxertrix price based on what I would charge if I treated them as a normal product.

I need to check out the 04 stickers as they are different. I will take the bellypan for the stickers to the graphics people today.

Having recently ordered a set of BCR belly pane decals I would point out that the CFP decals are not the same size on both sides of the bike. The LH side decal is actually 220mm overall length, not 160mm.
