Can anyone help please? My R1100S, fitted with the large battery as it is (was) an ABS model, has now got a failing Exide gel battery. Bit disappointing as it is only 5 or 6 years old. Interestingly the original one failed at easter time. I can collect from around Dover, Canterbury, Faversham area or around Kings Cross. Thanks guys.

Lumme - they've gone up in price, haven't they? Odyssey from Motorworks was £79 all up in 2006; now it's £94 plus postage...

I don't know whether gel batteries actually do last much longer than conventional ones - I've reckoned on about 4 years from a conventional battery, so 5-6 years is up to 50% longer I guess.
