Throttle balancing

I think i know the answer to this but you cant be too sure ;)

The 'nipples' you stick the hoses from the vacuum gauges on are supposed to have little covers to stop the air getting in aren't they?

I made two new ones for mine. Cut a short lengths of hose off the vacuum gauges and then plugged one end with black silicone mastic. Let it set then fit. May be coincidence but MPG got better.
There would appear to be a surfeit of prolixity and sesquipedalian content today please do not use a big word when a singularly un-loquacious and diminutive linguistic expression will satisfactorily accomplish the contemporary necessity
