Oo er missus, first time for eveything, got splatted up the back on way home at roundabout , normal thing, I stopped, bloke behind didnt, its an almost surreal experience, one minute sat on the bike, next , lying on the ground next to me German Bird.
Fair play to the old girl, really did some damage to the front of the twats car, BM not too bad, and still managed to ride her the 50 miles back, though it feels like the clutch hydraulics have almost had it by the time I got in?? coincidence I think, maybe not.
anyway got witnesses, and actually the bloke himself looked more shook up than I was.
Been on to Bennetts already, brilliant service, had a garage already contact me to get the bike picked up, and a hire company sorting me out a rental bike while the Bm's off the road, probably be an ER5 or summit equally loathsome but never mind, as long as shes done for Bettys Coed.

I feel quite fortunate really, could have been a lot worse, plus I had 3 bikers all stop and check I was OK, and really strange, they were all on BM's, a GS an RS and an old RT, plus a few car drivers even beeping me and checking for the thumbs up, doubt Id have got that on a Gixer or similar.

Glad to hear you're in one piece - at least the old girl will see the light of day again as well.

Winger, i hope not, I really like the bike, got it just how I like it now, though I have been thinking about a GS recently

More like practical,people are more than happy to phone the insurance up,let them take the bike way,and before you know it your stuffed,cuz posession is 9/10ths of the law,you bet your life it's twisted the subframe,and 50 quid an hour won't take long to run up a bill,blimey almost forgot,the biggest bummer is storage cost before you know the insurance company of the geezer who's punted him up the arse will be looking at a bill for 1500 quid plus,easier to pay him off and sell the bike to a breaker,as unpleasant as it is,just a sad fact,you've only got to remember Pauls wrecked S,it's just that it didn't look too wrecked in the pictures that appeared on here.

At least you're ok Tim. Winger might be right though. Once the assessor looks at it and adds up the cost of all the scratched parts with new ones things look a little less rosy.

Might be a good time to start looking around....

I managed to avoid this by getting my friendly local dealer (2 hours away ) to come and collect it.

They told the insurance company what they needed to know, and whipped off the bits I wanted too.

Always said your were smarter than the average bear!!!

Glad your ok tim,and youv'e just made some updates to it as well,hopefully see you in wales once it's all fixed eh.
