Ok, ere it is another tail of 'Told you so'. Had BMC air filters on my K12S and they are just brilliant, well put together a made a difference that you could feel.
So, though I'll do the same on my newly acquired BCR. I knew that the BMC filters are a tight fit and have a thick silicone rubber flange, if fact so thick that the OEM M6x25mm screws just artn't long enough to pull it down. So another £10.00 later after calling Pro-Bolt and it's job almost done.
anyone else out there experience similar fitting problems?

Are they very much better than a K&N?

Sorry buddy, been away for a while. Yep in my opinion. When I fitted these to my previous bike a K12S the difference was noticable right out of the can. They are better made, make a great induction roar and p;pick-up improved noticably.
Just taken the R11S BCR yesterday after fitting, OK so I also fitted a Laser pipe but can't complain, hits the redline quicker, great airbox roar, improved tickover and pick-up.
But, watch out for my problem!

You should have known that cheaply made italian parts will give you problems...
The K&N have a lot of silicone "overspray" on the sides...
Have a Blue line sold by wunderlich in mine.Nicely made in germany and fits well but additional power of any of those,I don't think so,but probably cheaper in the long run...
