Ok, so fitted a new set of EBC pads at the weekend, since then getting a nasty pulsating squeal, with a slight pulsing at the brake lever, spoke to motorworks and they recommended trying new bobbins and washers first, quite a bit of rotational movement back and forth on discs,(The discs look fine), though they could be warped, but why didnt I notice it with the old pads??

Anyway, any advice on fitting the new bobbins etc, do they go in dry?

Ohh , and f...ing £60 for the bits, ouch!!!

I'm having similar issues myself. I shall put some different discs on and see how they work. If I discover a miracle cure I shall let you know.

Did you replace the wave washers as well?

Bits arrived today, so replaced everything, Bolts, wave washers, and bobbins.

Found that a number of the old wave washers were snapped, and the bobbins were well worn as well, still I was a bit sceptical, but having just come back from a road test, the verdict is good, much quieter, but the actual brake performance seems much better too, and the pulsing has disappeared.

The new bolts come pre loctited, so I just ran a tap down all the posts to get rid of any crud.

Glad that I dont need discs after all, infact while they were off I miced them up, hardly worn, 4.7 one side and 4.8 the other, so assuming they are original, about half worn, at 40k miles, not bad, also put them on a plate glass table, no discernible warpage.

Plus I got to give the wheel a real good clean up, Job done :)
