Bought a Mityvac last week so today changed the Brake and Clutch Fluid, blimey, why didnt I but one before so easy, did both in about half hour, once Id changed the stupid BMW bleeder thing in the clutch line for a nice stainless 10mm Brembo Bleed nipple that is, should be even quicker now next time.

I think that's the same beastie that I bought a couple of months ago for when I changed the front brake master piston on the BCR. (about £35 from Hein Gericke?)



The only concern I had was, that once you slacken the bleed nipple on the caliper and attach the suction hose - when you start drawing through the fluid.......... you get air entering into the nipple via the thread.

I reckon you need to stick some chewing gum around the nipple to prevent this.

Yep i noticed that, thought about PTFE tape on the threads

The answer is to put coppaslip around the bleed nipple works a treat.

Think I'd rather keep the threads clear of coppaslip - there is always the chance of drawing some contaminents into the oil. Sugar-free chewing gum around the outside

The coppaslip was recomended by a very experianced motorcycle development company which is good enough for me.
