Morning all, just found Boxertrix though it would be good to sign up. I have owned my 1999, 1100S since May 2000 purchasing it second hand with 700 miles, since then I've put another 31k on it, mainly in touring Eruope, from Portugal to Sweden and most of the bits in between.
Can't say it's been a bed of roses owning the BM, I can be very disparaging about it, mainly about the build quality, but it does have character.
It will be intresting to see other's experances with the thing that I affectionally call the HEAP.

Welcome CAS...
mmm build quality of bm's? perish the thought!
See also... 11s brilliant ride (once you get used to the horizontal twin rock, the sewing machine noise and the poor quality finish - And don't get us started on the indicator switchgear

)
Enjoy anyway... It's an excellent bike.
Cheers
heap!

Welcome Cas,
As most will agree - there aren't many that buy an 1100s, and then decide they don't like it

Thanks for the welcome, based in North Hampshire, the heaps in the bad books again, felt some bad vibs from the rear end, done some digging, rear wheel bearing starting to fail, replaced it, now rides so so much better.
