AC Schnitzer - the 'BMW tuning specialist'...
...that buys in all its parts from other suppliers (eg the Schnitzer-badged Remus exhausts) and sells them on at an extortionate price. Back in 2003 Schnitzer were selling the 2-2 Remus system (re-badged) for a grand...while Remus' UK supplier were selling it for approx 700 quid.
Reading the blurb about the oil they make it sound like the boxer motor needs something special. Funny how the R259 (on which the Hexhead is heavily based - ie it's a high-cam & pushrod, air/oil cooled flat twin) which came out in 1993 hasn't needed this oil before.
Anyway it's a 10w40 which BMW don't now recommend... hang on a mo it's a full moon so perhaps they do...
Cynic? Moi?
