Pannier locking System

Post by smiliebiker »

Hi all,

the locking mechanism has broke on the pannier - see attached pic-

The bar has snapped where it goes through the handle - just below the orange lock plate, can this be fixed?

Thanks in advance

Anything can be fixed but I'd say your best bet is to look for a damaged (or cheap) pannier and use the locking mechanism from that in yours, changing the lock barrel over. That's what I did when one of mine failed - paid £15 for a pannier with a broken case on ebay - not too much demand for those but they don't come up very often.
