Postby bigblackfalco » Thu Mar 29, 2007 7:09 pm

For anyone who has ever had the pleasure (!) of travelling on the A14 particularly round the 'Girton Interchange'.....please sign this government petition:

STOP THE A14 CHAOS

This regions MPs have all signed Richard Bagnall's on line plea on the 10 Downing Street web site, urging Tony Blair to upgrade the county's A14 "Road to Hell". David Howarth, Jim Paice, Andrew Lansley, Malcolm Moss, Richard Spring and Jonathan Djanogly
Have all backed this petition urging immeditate action.

Something desperately needs to be done NOW.

If you want to sign this petition you can, by clicking on the link below. An e-mail will be sent to your in-box and when you open it your name will be added to the petition.

Please pass this on to as many people as you can.

Totally agree - I've travelled (well, tried to) along here countless times over the years and it's simply an horrific stretch of road. It desperately needs widening, its accident statistics make for somewhat shocking reading but my feelings are, because it's not around London, the road gets ignored.

I now have the pleasure of working from an office facing the A14 slip road up to the Spittlals roundabout and am amazed at how often that road comes to a complete standstill. Thank feck I travel the opposite way to the majority.

Petition signed.

While they are at it could they please sort out the carpark that is the M1/M6/A14 interchange.

Which ever tw*t it was that designed this junction wants poking with a very sharp stick!! Probably the same tw*t that designed the south bound M6 toll/M42/M6 interchange at Coleshill.

The government keeps bangin on about 'congestion' when its own agencies are the bloody cause of most it!!! :protest:

sorry bout that, I shall retire into a dark corner

The remodelling of this junction has been approved and budgets agreed (ha ha). If you think it's bad now ,just wait for the works to begin
