I bought a 98 std tail pipe/s for the S off ebay. Mine had split on one of the welds where the joining manifold pipe enters the right tail pipe (as you ride it) I guess the previous owner had belted it at some stage to get it off the "up pipe".
The only difference that I could see between this old one and mine (2003) was that there was a piece of steel webbing between the 2 tail pipe towards the rear on my original. This was obviously added at some later stage to brace the two pipes together more. Has this been a problem in the past... should I be worried that the pipes might split... the only support at the extreme rear is the two rubber mounts which seem strong enough.
Has anyone had any problems.
