Are these called Star? Torx? Spline?

I want to get some bits to take the bike apart, and dont know what type of bits to look for!!! I am surprised that all the bolts are rusted up. Not what I expected in a beemer

Warmest Regards

Halfords have a reliable and cheap range that fit on a 3/8ths drive. I've had a set for 2 years without any problems.

I was thinking of treating myself to a set of Snap On bits :P, feelling a bit financially destructive tonight!!

Taz, what T numbers are used most often in your set, do you know, mate?

If you buy a set, then make sure that there is a T27 in it. Some sets do not have a 27. BMW do (very occasionally) throw a 27 into the mix.

Most common sizes are T45, T40 and T35 but as Sandbar says a T27 (which is not a common size) can appear - seem to recall that size on a previous model.
