Help: No Spark

Post by BockingBandit »

Just cleaned my S and hey presto,.. it won't start. I can hear a 'shorting' which makes both 'injector connections rattle' as the fuel pump keeps re-initialising. Plugs are getting fuel,.. but abolsutely no spark, .. any cheap ideas?

Sounds like the side stand cut out switch or the Kill switch. Liberal spraying of WD or GT85 should see you right.
Next time....don't clean it

Cheers Bailey, .. I'll give it a liberal squirt. The only reason I cleaned it was that last Sunday I bumped into another 'Trixter' in Braintree,.. unfortunately he parked next to me at Heine Gerike, .. (Sorry.. didn't catch his name, Silver S with Higher Bars) really nice guy, .. but an unreasonably clean bike :-)
So it's HMS K75RT tomorrow,.. but having just seen the weather forecast,.. not too bothered lol

Mr Bandit, it was I you bumped into at hein gerrike. I did wonder if the reason you cleaned your bike was because you'd seen mine. I almost felt guilty when I read your thread.

I hope your luck with your 1100s improves

Bailey (Bigblackfalco) will be the best bloke to ask about this - he's over terrorising one of the hifi forums at the moment. ;)

Well you could try the Fuel Pump connector under the tank?!
