oh dear bike won't start

Post by donatelo »

after having kid's for weekend an first night shift back tonight I decided to be up early an away on bike into the blue yonder ,haven't been near said machine in 2 week's due to earning beer token's at 12hr plus a shift so today's the day, a good 6hrs in the saddle an even play with my new sat nav,no fear of getting lost now well I didn't get lost 'cus I didn't get anywhere due to afore mentioned fact the bitch didn't start ,rat's, seemed like a low battery due to wonderful power drain from state of art screw your bike up alarm ,now as I live on a bloody great hill (it is wales)managed to turn bike around, very hard on hill this so don't try it ,an roll down hill ,sadly failure now faced with push uphill oh what fun the children had watching the various colour changes my face went through but got it back in garage (25mins later),so anyone else had this prob due to alarm or do I need a new battery ,bike is '99 R11s only had it a few weeks so don't know if it on original battery, maybe a trickle charger the way to go in future ,any ideas, comment rude or otherwise .Thanks for reading .Don

had same problem when I bought my S a few years ago, changed to the higher rated battery and even after 4 weeks with the alarm set it started up no problems. Have yet to use optimate that I bought at the same time, it got more use from the neighbours R6

Or get yourself an Odyssey battery, search the posts
