Very tidy :D ......pity about the pannier rails spoiling the effect

Does the fender extender actually work??? I've been thinking of fitting one but not sure about drilling holes in the existing fender

the fenda extenda seems to work. I have very little paint flaking on the front of the engine. I've got a bmw carbon fibre belly to pop on which should help protect the engine as well. I'll post picks when done. hopefully this weekend. the bike is a year 2000 with 23000miles and looking good

Nice one.

From my minimal experience of these bikes ones with fender extenders h0ave far better paint on the engine cover and or bellypan.

Is that an R1100SS then?

How is it different to a R1100S?

My SS came with a yellow spring, wider rear wheel and different stickers - thats pretty much it...

Apart from taller suspension, no ABS and I think a shorter paralever arm..

Oh and it cost an extra grand to buy S/H

This has been discussed at length elsewhere on the site I think..

SS being "Sport Sport" presumably. Due to technological advances, the boffins at BMW were able to squeeze an additional "Sport" from the updgraded R1200S to give us "Sport Sport Sport"

Paul
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

It's the "SchutzStaffel" special edition.

The ordinary R1100s came with a sidecar -

At least, that's how the dealer explained it to me :withstupid:

Yes, in true BMW tradition - ABS (Agrivating Barking System) is a £750 optional extra.
