hi all, great to be here in your dedicated boxer forum.
just purchased a '98 1100s, yellow [it might well grow on me], 37k, standard except for art carbon system, accessory power, grips.

rides well! having had enough of japanese fours, thought i'd go for something a little different. i had an old r100rs a few years ago, and although the similarities are there, the differences are very apparent. front end seems a bit harsh, and the lack of dive is amusing, but i like it!

i intend to do all my own servicing [bloody hell, the bike still has the toolkit...] so i'm sure i'll be asking questions left right and centre, guaranteed to whittle down your patience. i should cope okay though, as i built the r100rs up from a box of bits, and have regular servicing to do on my xr400 enduro.

thanks all!
you have to be hardy to rest on your laurels
