Changing clutch fluid.

Post by pastyman »

Hi does anyone know how to bleed the clutch fluid from an R1100s 2002 bike. Is it fairly easy or best left to a professional? :?
I love my R1100S!

You need one of those speed bleed valve thingys I think. If you have a look at your CFrame, just behind the rear shock, there will be a think pipe with a bulbous padded end  probably cable tied to the cross member of the frame. Have a look at the end of that cos that is what you need to connect to to bleed the clutch. I think (though I may be wrong) that you can replace it with a normal bleed nipple and then bleed normally

Hi
You can use a normal bleed valve screwd into the end of the pipe.Dont forget to remove and replace the little grub screw.Bleed the clutch until new fluid comes out of the pipe same as you would brakes.
