Funnily enough, I bought one a few days before I totalled my R1100S. I'll stick up a post with all the spare bits and pieces I have left over, for you vultures to peck over

Paul
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

Doesn't cover the bolts though, this bit of my S is one of the few bits of engine not to have corroded/flaked as you can clean it fairly easily (plus the bottom bit is covered in oil as it leaks  )

Ade... no picture from you but unfortunately for me this is my worst section... every recess for the bolts has blistered.... probably best to get a second hand replacement and powder coat. And I can keep it on the road.
cheers for all your comments. Stuart

I rather like the mans style,if you look though the postings he was mentioned when he first appeared on e-bay,and got thoughly poo pooed on the board, when i checked his history he pays a tenner for the carbon sheet and gets either 3 or 4 out, nice profit margin eh!!!!

No problem. I paid £35 plus P&P, but I'm such a berk/nice guy (delete as appropriate) I will let you have it for £30, cash in hand. I can pass it over to Steve W to bring up to Hawes, if you like?

Sadly, no. They were comprehensively trashed, as the bike barral rolled up the road...

It's a done deal Paul - I'll pop over your place or collect it one sunday if that's ok - got no real way of carrying it this w/e (just taking the bare minimum in a rucksack). :)

Thanks to Ian Dunn for letting me examine the wonderous carbon front cover, I thought my bike was clean, but yours is as new plus all the additional polished bits, the head cover bolts look like stainless.
I have almost completed my template for the DIY version of the front cover, if anyone would like a copy, it will fit on A4 size sheet of material of your choosing, (fablon oak effect for that british look) then just send me a mail and I'll send to you.
Cheers
Ivor
