Bandit Bump

Well,... I am now officially 'Bikeless'. Shunted in the rear on my last Bandit this morning by a Ford Focus driver who decided that the best action to take when riding into blinding low morning sunlight,.. was to accelarate hard. I was doing 20mph,... he obviously wasn't. Police measured that he pushed me 65 feet along the road,.. with his front wheel 6" off the road and his car riding on top of my rear wheel. I didn't fall off,.. not becasue I'm a riding-god, .. but more that the frame snapped on impact and i was trapped between the tank and tail-light, .. it now looks like the worlds most radical 'Street-Fighter,.. a total 'V' shape, ... wait till you see the pics LoL. They had to 'Prise' me out of the bike,.. which remained upright, .. until the police moved the car,.. at which point my bike 'Split in half', .. yes.. it is now 2 bikes. As for me,.. not a scratch, ... not even a 'Heart in Mouth' feeling, though 2 hours on,.. my 'Gonads' look like they should be featuring in a low-budget 1970'S Scandinavian movie.
On the brightside, ....... at least my 1100S is looking like the easier option to fix LoL.
Keep it safe guys,.. and remember... no matter how 'Bright & Flurescent' you make your bike,.. you still make a small shillouette against blinding sun, .. bugger

Typical. I've only just ran a grinder through my 1G B12 frame so that I don't have to bother reSORN-ing it. You could have had it to rebuild.

Hope the 'nads are ok.
BB to Doctor: Can you take away the pain but leave the swelling!

Glad you're ok.
That could have been a right nasty one eh.

Two of my friends were shunted accross a roundabout at Scotch Corner on Friday, by a woman in an Alfa, using her phone.

She didnt even bother to get out of the car or ask if they were ok. Honda Blackbird Givi luggage took the most of the jolt, but the girl on the back cracked her Cox coc, coxi, that bloody bone at the bottom of her back!

We went to teh Hospital, borrowed the bike rider's wallet and went and got his bike out of the compound with no checks being made at all. Checked the rear wheel was still round, bidge taped the rear and tie-wrapped it, then rode it back for him.

You simply couldn't make that up  You're a lucky boy eh. Can't wait to see the pictures. Glad you came out of it with your nads intact too.

You still not fixed that S? I've got a Fazer 1000 being SORN'ed this month or going cheap (2k)

Jeez, another rear-end incident  Glad you came out of it relatively unscathed. Is the driver being prosecuted as the outcome could have been a lot worse?

Might've been tricky in a high-pitched voice  (Sorry, couldn't resist).

Feck - that is one lucky escape mate

Re the SS - perhaps that and some cash? I dunno - have a think  Send me details of the SS if you're interested

And I still can't believe you managed to surf 65m on your balls without hurting anything!

Jason,.. 65 feet, .. not meters, .... I edited the orignal post after I'd read it. Funnily enough, .. i'm starting to ache a bit now though. I was only being 'half-serious' about the 1100SS/Fazer,.. but you have got me thinking,.. Bugger.

"7:10am this morning, Thursday, ... I was shunted up the rear-end by a Ford Focus on the Chelmsford bypass"

Bet you're glad that it wasn't Dale Winton driving....you would have needed to be very careful with that wording.

Glad (and amazed) that you walked (or hobbled) away from that one.

but...why no pics of a Focus driver nursing a broken nose???
