Really stupid question re power commander

Hi folks.
Just a quick stupid question.
Does the installation of the power commander take over the function of the motronic?
Is the motronic then just a passenger that just sits there?
Does the power commander read faults?
Thanks in advance.
I'm considering installing a power commander considering the rcent history of my bike which had the tps changed had the adaptive memory purged had everything checked yet is still doing the same things as before where it just loses power between 3000-4000 rpm and then again at 6000 rpm.
If I bugger off the motronic will the pc111 eliminate these stupid issues?
I'm at my wits end.

No, The power commander doesnt do everything the motronics unit does, as i| understand it. the PC does control the fuelling and does it over certain revs etc, but your motronix unit does still need to be there as i understand it.

have you tried another unit in its place?

Hmmm....
So what does the motronic do if the pc111 does all the fueling?
I've read the installation for the pc111 and the tps for instance is wired into that instead of the ecu.
same for the oxygen sensor.

This what I don't understand.

The pc3 piggy-backs on top of the existing Motronic, adding and taking away fuel as neccessary and retaining the closed loop part of the fuelling. Motronic controls the fuel injection (timing and duration) taking into consideration the various sensors that feedback to it. The Motronic is a very, very basic processor and there is more computing power in my wrist watch than on the S.
The only way to get serious power from a boxer engine is to go back to carbs or use a motec type injection system. Apart from being obtuse and wanting to race something different, you are probably better off with a different bike if you are wishing to be competitive since the S will be a money pit.

I dont wanna race it or make it go faster
I just wanna fix this problem I have where at certain revs it behaves like the rev limiter comes on then when you twist the throttle more it sparks back into life.
Someone from irc suggested HT leads and coil may be the culprit.

Unscrew the large complex part attached to the rear tyre valve cap, and replace with one from a Gixxer Thou

I,m in the process of doing that using a R1 instead of that common as muck gixxer thou.I,m keeping the engine though, who needs a 150hp inline four.Infact who can possibly use all that HP on the road?
An idiot or a madman that who!
