1200S on Track

Well finally got around to taking the S onto a trackday. Last time at Brands I was on a KTM 660 with 65 horses so this took so getting used too!
First off its a lot quicker down the straight than my mates KTM950SM and it'll hold off 600RR's as well.
Secondly the suspension is too soft for track and even dialling up more compression and rebound on my ohlins it was still moving a lot.
Lastly , no one likes being passed by a BMW
Met up with another S on stock suspension and only 300 miles old - he was running it in! His tyres were really hammered as the engine overpowered the suspension.
I get the feeling round Donington it would be rather nice but Brands being more point and squirt didn;t really suit. Plus I'm so out of practice on a sporty position rather than a fling it in leg out position that it took to the afternoon to figure out what to do!
Still great fun !

PS
it was rather satisfying to have suspension that when you added/subtracted 'clicks' you could actually feel something happening on track/road....bit geeky i know:))
