Huggers?

Hi, beemer buds.
Have any of you or anyone you know bought and used the "Silver Ghost Huggers" advertised on e-bay?
If so, what have heard or what do you think of them?
Any help would be appreciated.

Most people seem to go with either Ilmberger or Pyramid options. Sandbar, I believe, does the Ilmberger.
I recently got the Pyramid hugger after the ART one that came with my bike fell apart (piece of s!*t). Very pleased with it so far, and dead easy to fit. £98 +p&p from Jaws Motorcycles (internet shop).

Ilmberger from Sandbar is what you want there the right price not about sure about the rest of the statement!!! he's OK for a non biker!!!

I'd agree with Winger go for the Ilmberger. I did have a ghost hugger originally, it was quite well made but the fitting looks a bit odd as it doesn't mount off the caliper like most of them do so there's a bit of iromongery to deal with. Unfortunately I managed to burn a section out of it when it got a bit too close to the Vanderlinde exhaust I fitted.
Did try a cheap Ilmberger copy for a while but that proved to be a waste of money as it eventually started to bend and rub against the tyre, so finally stumped up for the real thing, £140 inc p+p very nice it is too. Saying that have a word with Sandbar as he told me there was some kind of fire at the factory so stock may be limited.
Unless you want a very cheap used ghost hugger with a chunk out of it of course.

Pyramid are OK but the fittings are a bit cheesy.
Ilmberger is the one but availability is a struggle just at this moment

Used Pyramid currently on eBay at £25:00 and auction finsihes tomorrow at 15:23.

I bought a Pyramid for £99 which attaches to the rear brake caliper. You get a set of extended bolts that replace the calipers torx ones. Yes it wobbles a bit but I guessed and was also told that the other type that fit to the shock tend to have too much wobbling and crack - especially carbon.

I've just bought one from Sandbar, who indicated that the fire wiped out the moulds?!
Anyway - I got one of his last ones, but have still to fit it and remove the Pyramid one.
To be honest - the Pyramid one isn't too bad, although I would recommend putting the screws in with nutlock (not studlock!) though.

A very cheap 1 and a half Honda NTV's for work/courier use.
Can't wait to see how good it looks after you finish doing it up for me.
Do you think a GSXR rear end will fit OK??
