Has anyone seen the latest recalls for the 1200 R range . If failing ABS doesn't injure you, the shrapnel (exploding clutch

) will

Yep , mine is in the listing. Along with the fuel pump , battery discharge , brake line retaining clip non safety updates. And then there is the front yoke bolts , final drive and general ABS issues.
However all mine done immediately by the dealer and to be fair with none of the actual problems manifesting themselves. Though a few other GS'ers seem to have had the whole lot go on their early bikes.

An ex work colleague of mine had the clutch explode on a 99 K1200RS when they were new & he was in France. Took a chunk out of the side of the engine/gearbox bit.
To make matters worse a bit hit a following car and they made a claim on his insurance.

Whilst I was a courier working for Courier Systems in West London, an aged old R65 came in with the complete right hand side of the crank/clutch case missing.Seems that fly wheel bolts had not been tightened properly during a bottom end strip down, and subsequently the whole lot had come out at high revs narrowly missing the riders leg!!!!!
Ouite amazing
