:? Just getting ready to tax my new 1100S and guess what were do you mount the Tax disc holder?

Do not want to stick it to windscreen as the tiny hands will obviously nick it!

Sensible suggestions only!

Hi
I hang mine off the rear subframe to c frame bolt(top one).It sits just below the seat in the triangulated section.

Keep it in yer wallet...the safest place just as long you don't loose that.
Most police are cool with it.

Clamp mine between LH rear foot rest and rear subframe, so it hangs down behind the footrest. IMO always best use a metal TDH with screw fixed cover. Stops the light fingered brigade  'snapin em off'!

Keep both of ours on the garage wall - they have run out anyway and we don't need them here.
I did email the DVLA when they sent the fine notice, but was told to get a form from the local post office to send to them. The French lady in the post office in Rouffignac didn't know what I was talking about so I threw the fines away.
MOTs have run out too, but we don't have MOTs on bikes here.

France sounds ideal. Not much chance of that kind of deal over here. Looking forward to the trip in September Bob.

I put mine down near my r/h foot on same bolt that holds the cylinder head protectors to the head, keeps it out of most of the road crap and is not immediatley visible. used to keep it my wallet but have had that stolen previously so I put disc back on bike.

LH pillion footrest hanger mounting point - even when I've removed the footrests.

I agree with Gus's suggestion. The disc is clearly visible but difficult for anyone to steal without removing the seat.

cheers,

I've seen people have it sealed into their numberplate, means a new plate every year though!

Rear of n/s cylinder on the head guard mounting, keeps most gunk off and is dicsrete enough, that it's never been touched yet. < touch wood>

I've attached mine to the same bolt that holds the horn on.

Bit of a fiddle to get it put there, but at least it stops light fingers (hopefully)
