I have a rsv and you will not be disappointed my one is a 1999 model with open pipe renegde carbon air kit larger throtttle bodies and pc111 usb set up on a rolling road and a 16 tooth front sprocket and it puts out 128bhp at the rear wheel and is making 51ft lb of torque at just 2500rpm and 80ft lb at 7500 rpm . i am a member of that form and there is some useful info to be had from there . enjoy the aprilia

Bought it!
Thanks Bailey and Ian!
Its not a minter but pretty clean. He's ridden it year-round but its still tidy, with only a couple of very minor blemishes. Paid £5250 for it which am very happy with, also with paddock stands and all original bits thrown in.
Thanks for the site links too. Ian thats really clean mate.

It'll be a fine antidote to the S, ideal second bike I recon - just ride it like a jap & give it loads more revs than the BMwinger wrote:I hope it''s better than the Factory version that i rode.

It's not how fast you ride, it's how you ride fast.
Light travels faster than sound. That's why some people appear
bright until you hear them speak.

Thanks Ian very much.
Any advice or tips are very welcome please. Rode the bike home tonight and it's just what I need to go with the S. Feels straight and pulls well. Gearing feels like it could do with shortening a touch tho.
Am intending to put a 16 tooths front sprocket on, is that a good idea?
Anything at all Ian, most welcome. It's come with a full titanium system and chip which Im planning to use also

In my experience the 16t front cog is a little over kill;try going 1 bigger on the back first.PBBoxer wrote: Thanks Ian very much.

You must keep them in the livingroom, Ian?

Beautiful bike - tempted to wear an open-faced helmet so people can see you grin?

If I am ever on life support - Unplug me......
Then plug me back in..........
See if that works .....

Paul,
I had a standard '99. 16T sprocket is definately a good mod. (I reckon the gearing's too high as standard).
This site is worth a look for bits:
