Have just agreed a figure for my mangled bike with the insurance company
So I'm now on the lookout for a nice second hand motor. I'm replacing a '53 plate S that had heated, grips, pannier rails and a few other bits so I've got a reasonable amount to spend - but I'm not looking to spend it all blindly.
Sit on http://www.Biketrader.co.uk for a while. Stuff is fairly cheap at the moment. Dealers should be bitting your hand off by the end of Jan. Especially if we get some shitty weather between now and then.
Bike Trader out on a tuesday, every two weeks look in the damaged repairables for the one that have been written because the fairings scuffed up!!!.
Just remember when buying a Cat C or D,your duty bound to disclose it when selling, and it tends to put the 'Has it got a full service history' muppets of.
Or ideally look for the add, thats says not on the register.
Lightrunner,
I was thinking of selling my 2000 SS this spring. If it's the sort of thing your after I could bring that forward. I'm selling it because I don't use it enough these days anyway.
PM me if interested.
Mark
