Hi all

Post by Fletchbox »

Just found this site and thought I would say Hi.

I was previously an R6 owner until I saw the light and brought a r1100s last Oct. It is yellow and grey (not the mandarin) 2003 model and I love it! :D

All my friends think I am mad at at only 27, it did feel a bit weird buying into BMW so young but they are just so good!! :D

Welcome to the club - see how your friends feel if you can easily keep up with them on one then - As an S owner it is your duty to educate the great unwashed

Welcome Young uns,

Now remember, no running in the corridors of Boxertrix and no hanging around by the drinking fountains

Paul
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

Hi

Thanks for the welcome, glad to see I am not the youngest owner of an S

I am based in Hertfordshire Harry.

I see the club meet up for some ridouts now and then, is it simply a case of keeping my eyes open and turning up?

Cheers

Thought I'd let you know that there are some gals who venture out on R1100S's!

Welcome, and congratulate yourself on making a fine choice for a bike. You are going to have great fun getting to know it and love it!

Hi, I am also new to the site having bought a BCR on 2nd Jan. I too felt a bit odd buying BMW at such a young age (43) but hey, no one can see how old you are with your helmet on.

Haven't yet had a chance to ride the bike more than a few miles (wet roads, cold, bald tyres, no MOT, no tax, etc) but it certainly feels a bit different to my SV650S!
Can't wait to get the thing legal, hopefully this weekend.
Ride like your life depended on it.
