Looking for new wheels

Have just agreed a figure for my mangled bike with the insurance company :)

So I'm now on the lookout for a nice second hand motor. I'm replacing a '53 plate S that had heated, grips, pannier rails and a few other bits so I've got a reasonable amount to spend - but I'm not looking to spend it all blindly.

If anyone see's a real bargain let me know :D

There's a BCR on eBay at the moment. Red/ white and blue if my memory serves me?

yeah saw that :)
I've never ridden one or even had a really good squint at one but instinct says it's not quite what I'm after

I'm still after an S though.... just trying to figure out the right balance of money spent / bike bought

Sit on http://www.Biketrader.co.uk for a while. Stuff is fairly cheap at the moment. Dealers should be bitting your hand off by the end of Jan. Especially if we get some shitty weather between now and then.

Bike Trader out on a tuesday, every two weeks look in the damaged repairables for the one that have been written because the fairings scuffed up!!!.

Just remember when buying a Cat C or D,your duty bound to disclose it when selling, and it tends to put the 'Has it got a full service history' muppets of.

Or ideally look for the add, thats says not on the register.

I've got an expensive BCR that I would sell. You know - it is the proper one. Blue/White, single spark, ABS, h/grips etc etc.

Oh yes - I forgot - its got a carbon/fibre hugger

New Moto Guzzi Griso looks nice. Seem to be well screwed together as well. Or you could have the Breva for a bit more practicality.

Well, it can't be the ABS thing... he's made it quite clear he loves such electronic gadgetry. ;)

There's is a time and a place for everything.
ABS and the S don't mix well IMHO, especially when they go wrong out of warranty.

Nice spec you have on the bike Vince.
I was wondering what you think of the Schnitzer rearsets compared to the originals? Is the foot position much different? Thanks, Neil.

Not much different, slightly up and back but to be honest more bling than anything 8)

There's a pic here of them, well one of them.
