Just bought a kit from Godridge via ebay, problem is they state that its for a boxercup r1150gs when I called them, they say this is the same kit as supplied to the uk Boxercup team, but not knowing much about the series, they could'nt clarify further, although if any part is'nt correct for my bike they will change it for me.
Does anybody know if they used 1150gs forks in the race series? as I seem to remember reading that somewhere.

Steve, I think you may be right about the GS forks being used in the B/cup bikes as I've heard it from a couple of other sources.

Shouldnt be a problem as i had a set on my bike.
I also heard some teams were running GS legs.

You're bang on Steve, the bikes run in the BC series did indeed use GS stanchions.

Thanks guys, next question, how easy/difficult is it to fit this kit? in particular bleeding the bleeding brakes, I am after all a complete spanner shy numpty, should I pay someone to do it (my favourite option ) or get my hands dirty

How much is a Goodridge kit?? Been considering one for the Rockster for a while now.

Do it yourself!
Its not a hard job.The new goodridge kit will have two lines going all the way to the master cylinder.A racing requirement.A longer banjo bolt should be included in the kit.Follow the route of the old line from the master cylinder and then split each line to each caliper.Use P clips to hold lines to bottom yoke.You may be able to use old ones.Be careful extracting these,as its stainless steel going into aluminium.Bit of grease on reasembly.
Bleeding.
It will be easier if there is two people,unless you have a speed bleeder/vacuum jobbie.
I take it you know how to bleed brakes?
Fill up,pump lever,hold lever in,undo bleed nipple,tighten bleed nipple,release lever and pump and repeat.
You may need to turn handle bars to one side when bleeding as a air trap can form causing untold amounts of grief.Tapping the master cylinder lightly also helps.When you think you have done the task,use an elastic band overnight on the lever to get rid of the remaining air in the system.

What Gus has said is spot on,but if your not ok with a set of spanners get someone to help so you can learn,don't worry about being a numpty your not the only one,one or two of us have been highly entertained at someone else exspense just lately!!!!

not got any pics, but I paid £53 for brand new stainless kit inc fittings (black sleeves) direct from goodridge via their ebay shop

Sound like a good price Steve.

I'm sure I read in a mag very recently someone doing specials on Goody sets, I'll have a peek, but to be honest at 50 notes for Stainless I'd take it.

Forgot to add that you may need to replace the speed bleeder adaptor with a normal bleed nipple.
I,m thinking a 6mm?

Don't want to provoke an ABS v Non ABS debate but i'm also thinking about fitting braided lines and my bike has ABS .
Anyone got any advice specific to ABS in addition to whats already been said .

Can you point me in the right direction ? Can't find their

Nippy Normans etc .
