The last ones, primed, were sold by BMW for pennies on the dollar last year.

These days if you want a seat cover, you need to buy a bike who has one, exchange the seat cover for your passenger seat and resale the bike without losing too many dollars/pounds.

Nothing shows up on EbayUk or Ebay.de (or anywhere else)

Suggest saving a 'search' on ebay UK and ebay DE - and wait for one to surface?

(you'll be lucky if it doesn't require full painting)
If I am ever on life support - Unplug me......
Then plug me back in..........

See if that works .....

You did not like my suggestion. :o

Ok then, I will offer another way to get a R1200S seat cover.

1) buy the cheapest rear seat in whatever condition if the baseplate is in good enough shape.
2) buy a carbon fiber rear seat cover, preferably a used scratched one as it will be cheaper.
3) get the OEM upholstery part (I can help you find one if needed).
4) Dremel the baseplate's front end until the seat cover fits.
5) paint it (or keep) over the carbon fiber, silicone it to the base plate, screw in the upholstery et voilà.

Alternatively, you could make your own baseplate

Good point well made and exactly what I was thinking, and probably cheaper than a genuine cowl.
Phil.

Not a cheap route Phil, but like you said, cheaper than an original - I did it this - it cost £100 for the carbon cover, about £60 for a used pillion seat and an afternoon in the man cave and it isn't a bad fit but it isn't perfect and then over £100 for the seat pad. Might try and dismantle it for a better fit but I'll probably sell as is

Gents, apologies for not replying sooner - it’s been a tad busy at work and I haven’t had the chance to get the bike out!!!
I like the idea of buying another bike but I will only keep it and get my ear bent! :D
Interesting regarding the making/adaption route …… o will have to look into this a bit more…… just seems like R1200S parts are so hard to source and find!!
Thanks again all…….Much appreciated!!

I remember that the seat on my 1200S was like a plank of wood and the price of that has gone up - a lot :D

Mine is like a concrete plank thanks to the Corbin replacement

Still I’m thinking £7550 with the one off paint and special carbon parts, full luggage, Zard/Remus , plus other tasty accessories and a full set of spare bodywork makes mine seem reasonable.
