Maxxis Supermaxx ST tyres, 120/180, new.

Post by milleplod »

I bought a few pairs of these when M&P had them going cheap, I'm just not doing the miles these days, which isn't going to change, so one pair can go.

Production dates are Sept '18 and Dec '17.

Collection much preferred, otherwise courier costs will push them up to a non-bargain price! I'm near junctions 29/30 of the M1, but don't mind a run out to meet up somewhere if it helps.

£80

Chris.
I've pasted that into a Yorkshire-English translater: "I'm tight as a crabs arse at 50 fathoms"

In fairness, if Chris' memory is correct - he got approx 5,000 miles out of his current pair, on his R1200r with most being 2-up with luggage in Spain. Some of that longevity can maybe be put down to having to ride smoother with a pillion onboard (or get a kick in the plums  ) - but is still a creditable mileage.

On seeing this I thought "pants".. Just bought a pair from bikesport on Blackals recommendation.
The website didn't like my browser but a call sorted it.. £99 delivered.. Even though said standard few days delivery was OK they came next day.
£20 travel / delivery would would bring OPs price up so I'm happy
After all Northumbrians are between the Scots and Yorkies, so have similar traits :D

Yep my memory is correct and I will say to anyone who has not tried them then you could do worse by not. I have just tekken the front off my r1200r and put a metz on , (UBG) I can guarantee that the maxxis st`s are every bit the same standard. The one that has come off has the profile of a dutch barn and is well down on the legal limits... not good for expressing water from the contact area but still bloody good on a dry road when they get up to temp.

October weather and wifey on back has forced my hand. Its killing me to see good dry miles left in it.

For sale , Used but Good maxxis st, still got a dry track day in it or serve a purpose as an exercise tool for an eager Staffie.

Free. Collection only. No time wasters.

Did a Cadwell trackday with the Maxxis on the 12S and they were ace all day long under extremes of pressure.
