Been several times, but only toured in a hire car.Highway One is great, done it either from LA to San Francisco or the other way, stopping off in Monterey for World Superbikes at Laguna Seca raceway .Roads and scenery in California are fantastic and the food, especially sea food,is pretty good. Have a great time.

Good point Steve, Flights booked, now not so enthusiastic on a full mcycle tour, cost and practicality issues prevail, looking like it will be car tour in the main.

excited. :)
