Route testing....

Post by slparry »

Paul Davies and I did a recce of the intended Welsh Weekend route today. With today also being a bank holiday it is hopefully indicative of what the traffic may be like on the WW rideout.

All good apart from I think I may have been a little adventurous with the distance so will be cutting off the loop from Dolgellau > Trawsfynydd > Bala, and go straight from Dolgellau to Llanuwchllyn to (single track a bit broken in places so take care) Vyrnwy to the Hotel.

There will be possible fuel stops at Crossgates, Machynlleth and Dolgellau … the usual ask is for full tanks and empty bladders for the ride out :D

The hotel looks great, with a nice selection of beers and an even better selection of single malts, hard to photograph as I was taking a pic into the light but you'll get the idea :D

Good work Steve & Paul Davies! Probably a good idea if we save the whisky tasting session until Saturday night tho’ [smilie=drinking.gif]
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.
