Such a long time since I have bought a bottle of malt - I hadn’t realised the cost of a bottle of Lagavulin now!
But - It’s certainly a fantastic, big and powerful malt - well suited to cold winter’s evenings.
Enjoy!
Al

Now you’ve got me tempted - still love my Single Malt - although rarely stray away from the Ardbeg offerings.

Ardbeg has fantastic bottlings - probably equal or better than Lagavulin..............
Never go wrong with a bottle of Lagavulin in the cabinet, though.

I had a wee cycling whisky pilgrimage to Islay a couple of years ago. Stayed near Bruichladdich home of the amazing Octomore.
One day I had a tour round Laproaig (& collected my rent), a tour round Lagavulin and a very nice lunch at Ardbeg!
My last 3 whisky purchases have been from that wee corner...
All Lovely stuff

Got a friend who lives on Islay. She got me a bottle of Bruichladdich Octomore for my sisters 50th that was 2 years ago and she still hasn't opened so I've never tried it yet!!

It’s lovely stuff but at up to £40 a nip - not cheap.
The locals were drinking Black Bottle when I was in the pub!
