Help! Anyone in london with a stick coil puller?
Ideally a sturdy metal version, got my new stick coils just as one is about to fail (had 2 cut outs yesterday in london traffic) but can't remove the old one. Have lubed it and tried zip tying it up and use them to pull but they just break...

You can make due with a piece of stout string.
Just make a loop with the string of about 2 inches across.
Remove the wiring connector at the top of the stick coil.
Slide the loop of string under the stick coil - make sure the loop is entirely under the stick coil.
Put a stick, ratchet wrench handle , or screwdriver , thru the loop and pull straight out slowly.
The zip-tie you used is very slippery and not that flexible.
Try the string.
Some folks also use 2 screwdrivers to lever the stick coil out (and something to cushion the valve cover).
