Saw a post on face book ... some one has a leaking fork seal !

Good grief , I was absolutely shocked at some of the replies there ...

Leave it ?

Don't bother to use any oil in the leg ?

Use a fork seal cleaner and forget about it ?

Take all the plastics off to change the fork seal ?

You tube and facebook must be funded by mechanics who get the ef##d up home mechanics attempts , to try to fix afterwards ...

Its so sad to realise that some of these posters are actually supposed to be motorcycle riders and enthusiasts ...

It’s the same on forums and has been for years. For every 10 people giving advice, there’s often only one of them giving good advice.
I’ve seen it so many times. I’m all for people having a go at doing things themselves and learning, but seek advice from the right places. The world is full of have a go heroes.

I have to agree with you .

Just annoys me to see the utter cr@p some people come out with .

I worked 10 years in one job, a fellow there, no skills at all , apart from window cleaner, he bought a bought a land rover just before I left the job .

Within weeks he was on the forum advising others how to repair this or that ....

Scarey .... and they write with such expertise, that poor people believe them ...
