Do any of you live in Central London?
I've just been looking at the ultra low emission zone that's due to come in and not to put too fine a point on it it looks like most bikes built between 1974 and 2007 are going to become obsolete, unless you can afford to pay the daily charge just to keep your bike there!

I have sympathies both ways. We need to clean the poisons out of the air, but it is a bit harsh on those who suddenly find themselves heavily penalised because they have a bike more that 10 years old. It's a difficult balance to get right.

I did, 10 years ago.
The trouble is that very often, it doesn't take initiatives like these long to filter down to other major cities.

The Duke of Welling

ton apparently stood up in Parliament in opposite to the turnpike trust motion and one phrase that stood out was 'how will we control the population' or similar words to the same effect. Even back then we were suposed to 'know our place' so it is today cameras everywhere and the rest all to keep us under control. Well with under a million 'toffs' in the country and over 60 million of us I wonder thjey do sleep at night on about one sided
