Talking about bmw system case inners here, My wife has just reminded me to get my head round our new bike and the trip to Wales this coming weekend. (I hope it starts, never even turned the key yet

) So have been looking at aftermarket ones on the Bay and am not convinced I know what to order. As this bike will almost certainly be a long termer the cases will get a bit of use. I have not ruled out BMW ones. Aftermarket stuff I have had previously have been ok for the price but not really much of an advancement over a 5p lidl carrier bag.
I know the new system cases for the lc models differ from the oc models but do they differ across the new model range? Mines a r1200r lc and from photies they look a similar shape to ones on k models and r1200rt ones.
There is a nice set of full fat ones on the BAY at the moment that came off a 2015 K gt. I know that top cases do come in different sizes ie one or two helmet.
Any helpful suggestions ?
Chris

I bought mine for the ST's panniers (same as the RT) a few years ago from here -
https://www.bmw-motorrad-bohling.com/uk ... -bags.html. They were cheaper, even with postage costs, than UK dealers would do them for, although I don't know how they compare now. They've got a '10% off' deal on at the moment. They must do a fair bit of trade with us Brits - they're first in the Google search list and prices are in sterling.

I got the panniers, locks and inner bags for my 12S from the same place, £150 cheaper than I could get them here including postage.

I have a set of after market liner bags for my 12s sport panniers Chris as the BMW supplied bags are just a roll top so not really very good to use, I purchased a set of bags from maneevent (can't post a link ) I'd recommend these and have used them for a few years now, but in use you have to "stuff" them into the pannier, whereas Karen has the factory ones for her F8 gt panniers, chalkncheese they are mounded to fit exactly, so if it goes in the liner it goes in the pannier, worth every penny imho

I always used black bin liner bags, best £ per volume, even on a one use per each journey.
Roll from Tesco about £2.
100% waterproof too.

Well, that's how we will be arriving next Friday !! If there's a back door you would prefer us to use then just let me know. Would not want to downgrade the image of the Boxertrix club by displaying poor taste in luggage

It's not so much Boxertrix as the whole of BMW Motorrad
But yes there is a back door
See you there

My vario's will have black bags in them, to save embarrassment I will remove the panniers and carry them into the hotel with my head held high.

Al's got the job sussed.
Don't have to be shy / embarrassed with your custom luggage liners as you walk past reception.
Unless you are dripping muddy water from them all the way to your room.

What time are you guys checking in? jut to save us any embarrassment
You can always tell the reception (in mitigation of your chavviness) you drive shafties and there will be no chain oil going on the duvet from your Varios/
