Happy new year!

Post by Paul »

Welcome to our new site! [smilie=welcomeani.gif]

Th long promised upgrade has now happened, ready for 2017. I hope you like the new look and the added features it contains. Try accessing the site from your mobile phone to see the improvements made in that area too.

A quick run down on the highlights:

Take a look at the User Control panel, which is accessed from that drop down menu with your user name, in the top right of the screen, below the "Search..." box. That allows you to set up your preferences for using the site and allows you to manage your PMs, subscriptions to topics, and set up "friend" and "foe" lists if you so wish. Adding names to the friends list means you get an alert when a friend posts something. Adding names to the "Foes" list means that you don't see the content of their posts, unless you click on a link to do so.

You can now upload files and images directly to your posts on the site as well, without having to host them on photo bucket or any similar site. Please, no dodgy images...

You can also subscribe to topics and/or sub-forums and get an automatic notification when somebody adds a post to anything you subscribe to. That can be turned off in your user control panel too.

Other than that, have a play and explore and let me know what you think.

Cheers and happy new year,

Paul
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.
