If anyone leans towards mineral oil for their bike, Unipart have some of their own-branded stuff on eBay - 20w/50 and 15w/40 - at around £10 for 5 litres, including delivery. Both of them meet the spec for my 1200ST.

I don't understand anyone skimping on oil.
It's the life blood of the engine, and it's most important component ffs.
It only get's changed once, maybe twice a year, but yet people still go online and buy the cheap recycled aviation stuff.
Not worth it.
Buy a good quality branded oil, so you know what you're putting in there.

Any of the branded stuff from a reputable source.
It would be stupid to make a specific recommendation because there are so many variables.
Do you do track days and generally thrash the nits off it.
Do you just pootle about on Summer Sundays only.
These people are very helpful, and will make recommendations based on a lot of experience.
