R1200S with newly fitted Belly Pan

After having acquired a Ilmberger Carbon Fibre Belly Pan for my bike , Dave and myself spent an hour removing my Gimbel Fibreglass one and then fitted it to his bike .

Have to say I think it looks better on Daves bike as the black paint is a perfect match

Did you get your QS set up OK re the kill times I realise I never got back to you about my settings...

The motorcycle is looking sweet and the more I ride with my Corbin seat the better it gets so in the end I suppose it will be like your favourite slippers.

Hi David , yes I got the quick shift timings sorted thanks

I've only used the bike once with the Corbin seat so far but definitely a lot better than the stock seat

As far as I was aware there is no significant cooling from the oil pan . The majority of the cooling comes from the cooling fins on the heads (which are still exposed) and the oil cooler . In any case both belly pans have front air grills to allow the air to pass under the oil pan

The BoxerCup Replikas have a bellypan, the HP2s has a bellypan similar to the one shown.............

Neither appear to suffer unduly - from overheating.

It may make a slight difference if sitting in still air, but I think there will be ore than enough air passing between the sump and bellypan to maintain cooling

I agree - lots of BMW Factory installed Belly Pans on Boxers without any issues . I had one fitted to my R1100S and had no problems even on hot days (well hot for the UK !!) and I've had no issues on the R1200S .

Looks well John - gutted that there aren't too many riding days left for me this year - really want to do more miles on the 12s. Off next Monday to Wednesday so praying to the weather gods
