Electrical failure on 2003 1150 rt

Hi folks, hope someone may have an idea, my brothers just been out to fire up his 1150rt and when he turns on the ignition nothing's happening, no warning lights, nothing! Tried the obvious fuses, battery terminals but still nothing. Put the jump leads on from my bike but again nothing. The electrics have died, the bikes had no issues until today. anyone any ideas?
