Kin ell. Harsh. Seems he gave them all the evidence to prosecute.

I feel sorry for him. Poor roads for stretching the Old Blades legs :?

What a bell end. I suppose the sentence is harsh when compared to some handed out for crimes of violence, but why in the name of all that's holy would anyone film their own riding....ever??

Yes, I get the 'if anyone pulls out in front of me' argument, but, if someone can't even remember or be bothered to delete their own stupid riding from a device, they do need to brace themselves for a hammering should anyone but their mates get a viewing.

Precisely. Paul Cheshire the local North Wales Police Bikesafe guy was laughing at a similar video a few years ago saying "We wish the burglars would walk around with cameras in their heads" :)

I know this road well ~ A272 that runs from Winchester to East Sussex ~ and it is a favourite bikers road in the South. The filming was stupid, however, riding like that was criminal ~ I would have crushed the bike, not put him in jail.

Yep, +1 to that suggestion - seize and destroy the bike, plus a ban for dangerous driving (extended re-test to get his licence back)....much, much more sensible than jail time.

He was happy to play the odds against killing one or more people.

He obviously was more comfortable with that - than the going to prison.

This wasn't someone just opening up the throttle and doing 130+ on a quiet stretch of motorway, over a mile.....

That sort of riding on the road is inexcusable. I hope they lose the key to his cell (give it to me and I'll lose it for them). It gives us all a bad name and provides plenty ammunition for the anti-biking brigade. Not to mention the danger he put others in.

I'm all for "making progress" on the open road, but that was disgraceful.

Zero sympathy with his plight (can you tell)

Whilst two years might appear to be a bit strong considering what people get away with in 'other' crimes but I don't feel sorry for him at all. He's a tool and shouldn't be allowed on the roads.

I assume that on the "pinned" or "full throttle" websites he's being lauded as some kind of riding hero who has been made an example of by the rozzers?

Unfortunately it takes all sorts

On a Yamaha forum - plenty of members were "gutted for you, mate" when one of their fold was prosecuted for overtaking cars in a 30mph city zone............... at 75mph

Such is the strength of "biker camaraderie"

Hmmmm !

Well he was a pr1ck ....

But I still feel sorry for him .

Being a mere 60 plus myself I do allow my urges to have their wicked way with the throttle now and then ....

But to be honest NOT in built up areas ....

Having spent a part of my life as a cop , I have had the sad experience too many times dealing with the consequences of over enthusiastic throttle use ...

By cars , bikes and trucks ... Even a jetski once , pilot floated after 4 days, despite the police divers best efforts to recover his body . But that's a story for another day ( bit of black humour there .... )

Its the old story , do the crime , do the time . And then don't cry about it when you get nailed ...

Of course .... if you are going to play like this switch the bloody head cam off

Get a Track day?

Post by GunK190 »

Just don't understand this

1. Why ride like a cock it endangers others and yourself
2. Why post this on a social site (maybe that explains the riding like a cock)
3. There's probably someone being paid to look for these cocks posting
4. If you've paid god knows how much for your bike and you want to ride quick why not go on a track day, same if not greater thrill, safer, post on any social web site without fear of ending up with a massive fine and being banged up.

Be aware BIG BROTHER is watching :D
