Its certainly different Steve.
The whole fenda extenda issue has been vexing certain people on owner forums. The original item from the usual suppliers was recalled as it appeared to flex the mudguard and rub the tyre - although not everyone experienced it.

Then the same company produced a CF mudguard to replace the original (i.e stiffer) and a revised fenda extenda. Various potential buyers then pointed out that would it not have been a better idea to produce just a longer CF mudguard ! :?

There appeared to be an 'Oh shit, why didn't we think of that moment ' from the supplier - a pause - and then a 'We are going to stick with the products we have developed' response ( obviously after checking how many 1000 that had been made or ordered from the maker !!)

So, it appeared that defeat had been snatched from the jaws of victory on that one and alternative products like this might have a market - but look at the price for a piece of plastic :shock:
