Gotta say, the rate at which people are carving up ( and generally making a dogs dinner) of old airhead boxes the best investment must be a bog standard R100/R90.

True, it may already be too late for the K series flat fours.

One of the reasons I could never sell my R80RS is it would break my heart to see it beggared about with

That BMW orange and silver colour scheme from the old R90S Daytona really is the best paint job BMW ever created, with an honourable mention going the the RWB Boxercup paint job. Pin striping on this one should be red for the full dramatic effect tho'.
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

Think you might be biased Paul, as I seem to remember the colour scheme of your old 1100S.

Surely not as highly regarded as the Granite Grey K1200S :D , or Lavarote Red K100LT?

If you go on YouTube - Baron Von Grumble (well known vlogger) is having an R100R customised, here is a link to the latest video

Regards,
Russ
It started badly, it tailed off a little in the middle and the less said about the end the better, but apart from that it was excellent.

I do like this!

I think the exhaust header routing could be tidier, but apart from that this is my perfect bike. It's on my list for when I win the lottery.
