Clear case of wrong place at the wrong time.
The bike managed to stay in the lorry drivers blind spot.
Lorry driver was busy checking his mirrors checking the kerb clearance.
Can't believe bike didn't get on the horn as soon as he saw the lorry coming into junction?!

I guess for some time - he believed the lorry was going to stop and straighten up?

Probably a bit of shock but admirable all the same. I have a feeling I might not have been as placid.

Er..TopCat , that it is the most inaccurate headline ever. You could easily get a job with Sun :D

The motorcyclist had several seconds when a collision was looking quite likely. I don't understand why he didn't move, or at least try to move, into the empty space on the right.

Looks like we are faced with two options..........

We strive to make this forum meet your expectations for entertainment (without knowing what those expectations- are)

Or

You alleviate yourself of the apparent boredom - and avoid the forum.......

If there is a third option - I'm missing it............

3rd option maybe the original aim as below. Boring? Nope.

Our aim on this site is to be a source of useful information for BMW R1100S and R1200S riders.

Uffking` ell Matey, all that stuff has been done to death over the years, I live in hope of a "gardeners corner" section. Anyway said bike appeared to have had loads of time to avoid truck.

I have to be honest (and I say this being able to look at the situation through a computer screen) but as the lorry turned into the road I'd be thinking 'I'll stop hard right here' and then 'I'd better get onto the other side of the road' However, maybe if I was actually there then I'd have expected the lorry to stop before driving into me the same as that guy did.
