old Garmin Nuvi

Post by oyster »

I have dug out my old Garmin Nuvi with the thought it may help with my imminent trip to France. I am aware I need to switch off the speed detection aspect, but I have been through all the options and there is nothing suggesting that ability. Could it be that this 2008 model was not switchable?
I am not too bothered, I didn't use one the last time I was there on the bike, though this trip is a bit more pressurised with timed hotel stops.
Oyster. 1999 R1100S. Almost original.

My zumo is done under 'proximity alerts' as this description and it says it applies to most nuvi models as well.
